A lightning round with Agent99’s newest intern

With the winter months upon us, apart from cooler temperatures and the marvellous VIVID festival, this means one thing specifically: a new agent has joined the team! As a result, for this week’s blog, we are going to get up-close-and-personal with our newest intern in a lightning Q&A round. Let the interrogation begin!

Q: Name?

A: Hi! My name is Ryan Bush, and I am SO thrilled to be Agent99’s newest intern! 🙂

Q: Where are you from and where do you currently live?

A: I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the United States of America. I currently live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to attend university.

Q: What are you studying in university?

A: For university, I attend the University of Pennsylvania, and while I currently do not have a declared major, I will likely be majoring in Political Science and Economics.

Q: What made you decide to come to Australia for your summer internship?

A: For my first summer after starting university, I wanted a memorable and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that would shape the remainder of my college career and change who I am as a person by opening up my eyes to the world around me. This opportunity to come to Sydney seemed like the perfect fit for that! After researching the program, I fell in love with the chance to intern/learn abroad, and knew it would truly be the experience of a lifetime. I could not pass it up!

Q: What has been your favourite site that you’ve visited in Sydney so far?

A: Well I’ve only been here for a week thus far, and I have SO much planned that I haven’t seen yet, but I had the chance to venture over to Bondi Beach and fell in LOVE with the walk from Bondi to Coogee—absolutely breathtaking! I will definitely be back; I thought it was absolutely marvellous. A highlight for sure so far!

Q: Why did you want to come intern with Agent99?

A: After doing a thorough amount of research, I realized that I really admire and resonate with the style Agent99 uses to conduct their business; I appreciate their ability to stay on top of the current means of communication that younger generations are using, and genuinely agree with the strategies they use on their cases to give clients the most comprehensive coverage possible. Apart from that, when I had the chance to speak with the team more personally, I really loved how collaborative and supportive the environment was, and how they all lean on one another to work as a team to produce a final product.

Q: What are you hoping to get out of this internship?

A: Foremost, I am hoping to gain even more experience in the world of public relations and entertainment media, as I see myself pursuing a career resembling these spheres in the future. I also want to have a better understanding of how the media landscape works in Australia, as I feel this will only enhance my abilities for a career in global entertainment in the future. Finally, I am hoping for even more experience in a corporate work space and further collaboration with professionals in the business world. I see all of these goals as inevitable with Agent99!
